Today is the day I give licensing professionals a voice!
I think the Title of this blog says a lot about the
challenges facing those of you who are responsible for the licensing and
permitting of your business. In a time when an organization’s “Bottom Line” is
the highest priority, it is difficult to find the time to get licensing and
permitting done right. Many of you have spent hours, if not days, looking for
the jurisdictional requirements to open a new site or bring your operations
under compliance only to find you cannot FIND what you need.
Lions, Tigers and Bears… oh my!
Just like those fearful words spoken in the Wizard of Oz, Licensing
is SCARY! You navigate a veritable forest of licensing and permitting every
time you wade through renewals, hunt for applications, verify an inspection,
decipher an ordinance, or transfer ownership for your business.
I have navigated my fair share of “forests” and I hope to
explore my licensing and permitting experiences and those of my colleagues in
this blog. I want to teach, learn and collaborate with you, my readers, Enjoy!
